Organic Turkish cotton is soft, absorbent and quick drying, making it the perfect towel! Your towel will become naturally softer with each wash! They really do!

Best of all if you properly care for your Turkish Towel it can last 20+ years in the dryer and 30 + years being hung to dry.

Here are some care tips to get the most out of your towel.

Before use - pre-soak your towel

When you receive your Turkish Towel it is important to soak it in water first to speed up the process of “breaking in” the cotton. This assists it to become more absorbent more quickly. Be sure the towel is completely saturated with water. You may have to use your hands to squish the towel and really work the water into the fibres.

Pre-soaking for the Thick, Luxury Turkish Towels:

Soak for a minimum of 24 hours and hang to drip dry.

Ecru Towels may need 3-4 times soaking and a few washes to get to their maximum absorbency. White and colourful towels may need 1-2 times soaking and a few washes to get to their maximum absorbency.

Pre-soaking for the Thin, Peshtemal Turkish Towels:

Soak in cold water for 6-12 hours and hang to drip dry.

Washing Instructions

For daily care, machine wash in cool to tepid water about 30℃ to 40℃. Organic cotton textiles will become naturally softer with each wash! They really do! Organic cotton and linen are naturally resistant
to moulds and mildews, due to their inherent anti-microbial properties.

Drying Instructions

Hang to dry or tumble dry on cool to medium. If you want to get more longevity out of your towel avoid tumble drying. Towels should last 20+ years using a dryer and 30+ years if hung out to dry.

Natural Stain Treatment

Never use bleach or fabric softener on your hand loomed textiles. Bleach breaks down the natural fibres with each use, reducing the strength and durability of the fabric. You can however use a natural treatment — add 1/4 cup of baking side and one cup of white vinegar to your wash.

If a thread has pulled on your towel

Don’t worry! Your towel will not unravel. Just snip the thread close to the towel.
